P. V. Sindhu (Born on 5 July 1995 in Hyderabad) is a rising badminton player from India. Her full name is Pusarla Venkata Sindhu. She entered in to top 20 ranking with 20th position in the Badminton World Ranking on 21st September 2012. She is also ranked 3 in the BWF Junior Rankings.

Sindhu was a bronze medalist at the 2009 Sub-Junior Asian Badminton Championships held in Colombo. She is also a bronze medal winner in the Junior Asian Championship held at Colombo in 2010. She won the silver medal in the singles category of 2010 Iran Fajr International Badminton Challenge.
Sindhu reached the quarterfinals of the 2010 Junior World Badminton Championships that was held in Mexico. She was also the youngest member of the Indian team member in 2010 Uber Cup. She finished 2010 with winning a bronze medal in the Indian Open Grand Prix International Badminton Tournament held at Hyderabad.
Sindhu won a bronze medal at the U-19 Asian Championships held at Lucknow in 2011. She won two senior national ranking tournaments in 2011.
In 2012, Sindhu won Asia Youth Under 19 Championship beating Japanese Player Nozomi Okuhara in final. She reached the semi-finals of China Masters 2012, in the quarter-finals she defeated London 2012 Olympic Gold Medalist Li Xuerui.
Sindhu finished 2012 with runner-up in the Syed Modi India Grand Prix Gold event held in Lucknow in December. She reached her career best ranking as 19.
