Divya Singh (born 21 July 1982 in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India) is former captain for the India women's national basketball team. Divya led the Indian women's basketball team at the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games. She is one of the best women basketballers in India.
Divya known for her game skills, leadership qualities, academic strength and personality. She comes from a family of basketball players, They are 5 sisters, currently three of her sisters Priyanka, Prashanti and Akanksha are member of the Indian India women's national basketball team. They are also known as Singh Sisters.
Divya Singh is currently Studying Sports Management at University of Delaware, Newark, Delaware and worked as an assistant women's basketball coach for UD. currently she is Coaching U16 Indian Men Basketball Team. Divya has been successful coach of many colleges in Delhi including st. Stephen's college and Jesus & marry college.She is also working as a Coach of Delhi Women Basketball Team.
