Heena Sidhu (Born on August 29, 1989 in Lidhiana) is an Indian shooter. She battle in the Women's 10 metre Air Pistol event. In 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games, Heena won the gold medal in women's Pairs 10 metre air pistol with Annu Raj Singh and also won a silver medal in the singles event.
Heena has been a involved in shooting since 2006 when she was in 12th standard and by the end of that year she came into the National Junior Team. Heena is right handed shooter with right being her dominant eye played for the Patiala Club.
Heena won silver medal in ISSF World Cup 2009 at Beijing. She also got 1st position in the women's 10 metre air pistol at the national championship 2009 at Kerala. At Guangzhou China 2010 Asian Games, Heena, along with Annu Raj Singh and Sonia Rai, won a silver medal in the Women's 10m Air Pistol Team event.
In 2012 London Summer Olympics, Sidhu member of the Indian squad that represented the nation finished 12th in the qualification round of Women's 10 metre air pistol event.
Heena won the gold medal at the ISSF 2013 World Cup Finals in Munich, Germany. In the 2014 Indian National Shooting trials, Sidhu won by 0.1 point over Rahi Sarnobat in the women’s air pistol event. On 28 August 2014, Sidhu was awarded with the Arjuna Award..
Heena qualified for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in the women's 10 metre air pistol and the women's 25 metre pistol events. She finished fourteenth in the women's 10 metre air pistol and twentieth in the women's 25 metre pistol qualifying rounds.
Heena pulled out of the 2016 Asian Air Gun Championships held at Tehran because Iran made the wearing of the hijab mandatory for female participants.
In 2017, Heena won gold medal in women's 10 metre air pistol event at the Commonwealth shooting championships in Brisbane.
At the 2018 Commonwealth Games, Sidhu won a silver medal in the women’s 10 metre air pistol event, and a gold medal in the women’s 25 metre air pistol event. She broke the Commonwealth Games record of 38 in winning the gold medal. Heena wins Bronze Medal in the women's 10m air pistol at Jakarta Palembang 2018 Asian Games.
