Pratima Singh (Born on 6 February 1990 in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh) is a member of the India women's national basketball team. She is one of the most glamourous women in Indian sports. Pratima has been awarded Best Player in many National and State Championships.
Pratima started playing basketball in 2003. She won many 'Best Player' titles at the university level. Pratima was selected to the Junior Indian team in the year of 2006 and captained the Junior Indian Girls team in 2008.
Pratima comes from a family of basketball players. Pratima and her four sisters are blessed with good genes. Three of her sisters Priyanka, Prashanti and Akanksha are a member of the India women's national basketball team. They are also known as Singh Sisters.
Pratima won a gold medal for India in the first 3×3 FIBA Asia Championship. She was also known as a fighter as she fought through her knee injury with a lot of hard work and avoided an operation and then performed after a year and became the highest scorer of the tournament in 2012.
Pratima is also interested in fashion and modeling. Coming from a typical Indian family in Varanasi, the sisters have shown tremendous strength and attitude in following their dreams and not bow to convention. Pratima married with Indian cricket player Ishant Sharma on 10 December 2016.
